My postcard from Venice of the week is another twilight view from the top of San Giorgio Maggiore’s bell tower. I blended two images to get this final result. I took the first exposure just a few minutes before sunset, to have the best from the sky. Then I waited 20 minutes for the sun to set and the lights of the city to get on and shot the second exposure. In the foreground is the church of San Giorgio Maggiore, while in the background are the island of Giudecca and another of my favorite spots: Punta della Dogana.
Still planning my forthcoming trip to the United States; thank you all for the useful tips I have already received, I will surely try to put them at good use! 😉
